Penelope is an Anglican priest and an Ignatian- trained Spiritual Director.
She is married to Kim and they live near Bath, where they are enjoying re-tyre-ment! Penelope has her own ministry, Ministries by Design, which includes writing, speaking and mentoring. (see headings above)
Penelope and Kim have 3 married children and 6 grandchildren. A third of the family live in Virginia, USA, which means there's always a foot on each side of the Atlantic!
She loves hiking and walking; reading; the theatre; and looking after her grandchildren on both sides of the Atlantic.
Trained as an Ignation Spiritual Director, Penelope loves to accompany others on their spiritual journey, and offers mentoring/one-on-one/prayer sessions. This can be as a regular on-going relationship; or as a one-off session for a specific purpose or need.
Spiritual Direction is the traditional term for walking along side others to help them discern more of what God may be doing in their lives and to respond to him. It is not counselling, therapy or advice! But it is a safe place, with total confidentiality, and many clergy in particular value the opportunity to talk about and pray through either specific situations or their Christian journey in general. It's not limited to clergy and pastors, however, so do get in touch if you would be interested as there are still a few spaces available for individual sessions.
