Penelope is the Director of Ministry for Ministries by Design. She is an ordained Anglican priest and a trained Spiritual Director.
She is married to Kim and they live (with Gracie, now somewhat bigger!) at Mays Farm, the Christian Retreat Centre they have recently renovated and which is now the main focus of Ministries by Design.
Penelope and Kim have 3 grown and married children and 6 grandchildren.
She loves reading, the theatre, walking the dog and looking after her grandchildren on both sides of the Atlantic.
The Vine at Mays Farm is a Retreat House with a difference. With only 5 individually furnished bedrooms, it is intimate and never too busy. Everything is tailored to you, and your needs to get away and meet with God.
While you are here, you will be in your own spacious, ensuite room and also have use of the old chapel, pretty sitting room, gorgeous library, sunny morning room – and, depending on the weather, the gardens and walled orchard. Breakfast is served in your room so that you can sleep, rest, read, pray, take time to BE......
"Thanks for your listening ears and your warm smile... I really appreciate your ministry."
"Very serendipitously I saw one of my precious mentors yesterday morning. She listened well, cared for me greatly and immediately sensed some things from the Lord."
Blogging, Writing & Speaking
Penelope blogs regularly on this site and has also had one book published to date - Women by Design. She also writes for Scripture Union's Daily Bread notes.
She has plans for a devotional book for the first year after a major bereavement and has been blogging about that here.
Penelope is a gifted speaker and is available for church Women's groups and retreats both in the UK and the USA, where Kim and Penelope spend 3 months each year.
